This July, Altar Bar welcomes Yayoi Estate Wine for a special long lunch with friends Season & Savour, bringing together thoughtful wines, seasonal food and good company.
Settle in for four courses paired with a curated selection of Yayoi wines, including Pet Nat, Chenin Blanc, Rosé and two reds, while winemaker Steffi Snook shares the stories, vineyards and inspiration behind each pour.
Yayoi is Steffi's Japanese given name, meaning "new life". Her wines are crafted to evoke a sense of place and memory, whether it's a day spent surfing with friends or a candlelit dinner in the Loire Valley. The result is a collection of expressive, textural wines that bring fresh energy to a time-honoured craft.
Tickets are $120 per person, alongside the wines, the kitchen will serve a Japanese-inspired menu designed to complement each glass and celebrate the season.
